If you are planning a trip to Venezuela, either for a family vacation or for an adventure with friends, be sure to follow the tips posted here for proper packing. These tips are provided by Antonio Moschella of Venezuela.

Don’t Forget the Sunscreen

This really shouldn’t have to be said, but, do not forget the sunscreen. Even though it can be purchased in Venezuela, you will want to save money and bring it from home. Bring plenty for the entire trip because you will definitely need to apply multiple times per day, if not multiple times per hour.

Multiple Forms of Payment

Be sure to bring multiple forms of payment with you on the trip to Venezuela. You should bring cash, a credit card, a debit card and a pre-loaded payment card. All of these options will give you variety should you come across a lodge, restaurant, or vendor who doesn’t take one of these forms of payment.

Hiking Boots

Hiking boots are a must when you plan a trip to Venezuela. There are plenty of trails to traverse, some of which are extremely difficult. If you don’t bring hiking boots you won’t be able to see some of the most beautiful scenes the country has to offers its visitors.

Warm Weather Clothes

Pack warm weather clothes that will keep your body temperature as low as possible. Don’t wear tight-fitting clothes. Bring multiple hats, sunglasses, socks and pairs of shoes. You want to make sure that all of the adventure occurs in comfort.

Bug Spray

The most important item you should pack outside of sunscreen is that of bug spray. No one wants to go hiking or out in the wild without bug spray. This is smart for any location but very important for those traveling to Venezuela.
